Rebuilding Houston is a summer missions opportunity for anyone from Riverwood. If you are interested in serving on this trip, please apply!
We will be working with Experience Mission, a Christian missions agency that has been present in Houston since Hurricane Harvey struck in September 2017. In that time, groups have been working to help with immediate relief efforts like food, water and medical supplies as well as the daunting task of home repair. Currently the mission work is in the rebuilding stage. We will be partnering with a local church to connect with local residents to help them rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. A significant portion of our work will be helping to rebuild homes in the Houston area.
Who Can Participate:
The trip is open to anyone high school or above. We are especially looking for people who have some experience with drywall and flooring, but you don’t have to be experienced to come. Trip participants will meet regularly to plan and prepare for the trip, including a Saturday morning workshop to learn basic repair skills.

Support to Raise:
$975 We will be working with you to raise support through our training and preparation time leading up to the trip.
Deadlines & Deposits:
The application for the summer missions trip will be available online from January 28 through February 25. An initial deposit of $100 is due at our first team meeting.
